Pregnancy Email to Christine - 4 Months

Hi how are you two doing? Thought I'd write and let you know the latest edition of my journey to September 21st. Yesterday I noticed I was having a bunch of Braxton-Hicks contractions. Collin wasn't moving as much as he usually does either. But I checked his heartbeat with the doppler and it was just beating away! Today I just got this bad feeling. My stomach kept tightening up but it didn't hurt. It was uncomfortable to sit and Collin still wasn't moving much. So I called the drs office. They told me to come on in and get checked. So I went in and the nurse said my bp was up (155/90) Then they checked my urine and said I had alot of white blood cells and ketones in my urine. That's funny because I drank about 4 glasses of water before going (I was thirsty!) I figured it would have diluted everything. The midwife checked the babys heartbeat and she was impressed at its strength! It was a good 155. She checked my cervix and fortunately it was long, hard, and closed. She said she thinks that I have a bladder/kidney infection and prescribed Macrobid. T! hat makes alot of sense because all this week my back has hurt really bad. I figured it was just because I'm getting bigger. She also said the heat/vibrating chair pad I use was ok. Just not to put any heating pads over my stomach. She also let me know if the contractions get stronger and real painful to go to a particular hospital in the area that has the equipment to handle real premature babies and to call her before I go. Fortunately that's the hospital I've already elected to have Collin at. After I left I called my boss and told him I was going to go home and lay down for about an hour. With everyone else always calling in sick or leaving for petty reasons (the other girl in the office left without asking because her gas bill was late and tomorrow she's off because it's her kids last day of school-so is my sons! Do I get the day off? Heck no! And last week the boss and two employees went on a fishing trip, the other girl got off at 1:00, & the bosses wife took the a! fternoon off. The other guy who didn't go on the trip called in saying his kids were sick. I was the only one holding things down!) I didn't feel bad at all for calling in. I told my boss I'd be in around 12:30, so I'm back before the other girl goes home for the day. So I went home and got a little rest. Woke up throwing up but my stupid butt came back to work anyways! I tried eating some food to take with my antibiotic, but I ended up throwing up. My whole body hurts right now. I just want to crawl into bed! Well, just thought I'd let you know how today went with that. Please write me back!

Take care,
Amy

Email to Mom - 4 Months

*This email was especially funny to me. Well, I can say that now cause I'm looking back. It's hard to believe at this point I still had another 4 months until Colin was born early. Thank God my mom is so forgiving of me. This is me in the midst of a bad pregnancy tantrum.*

No, I'm tired and I have a headache and I'm ready to puke. And I still have 45 minutes until I leave here. Send those pictures now. Don't wait another 2 months. That's just not right.Trust me, a Super Walmart here is nothing wonderful. It's packed with a bunch of idiots. I mean, imagine if your Walmart was the only store around for 5 hours and everyone within a 5 hour radius comes to your store and has absolutly NO class or sense whatsoever. It is literally jam packed with idiots. Anyone with any sense does not shop there. I only go if I absolutly have to. The one in NC wasn't so bad. But it was bad. The one here is horrible. You'll see. I'm going to take you there and drop you off. Make you stay for 10 hours. Any normal person would commit suicide after the first 2 hours. You, on the other hand, would clear out the middle of the store, arrange the furniture in a great big circle, bring over some food, and have a little get together with all the shoppers. Kinda like Santa around the holidays. Geeeeeawwwwdddd!!!!!See if yall can come through I-75 to Macon or to I-20. I live right off of I-20. Believe me, you don't want to come see me right now while I'm pregnant. I'm beginning to believe I'm the antichrist. I'm the bride of satan. I will have you in tears after my first migrane. Just ask anyone. I'm gonna let you go now. I'm going to tie my boss up and hang him from the ceiling and leave.
Talk to you later...

Ok..You're funny, you are not satan believe me! If you get migranes then you need to ask your Dr. if you can take anicin for migranes. I'll send those pictures now. You're just like me, you think every living sole is an idiot unless they think like you. You have to accept people for who they are and not at face value. You will find it's easier to get along with people that way. A person has a reason for why they are the way they are. You didn't answer my question...how's Cody's shoes holding up? Does he still have his scanner? When's your next Dr. appt. with O/B? You need to talk to him about your headaches!! I'll let you go and I'll talk to you later. I'm working 2p-10p today and I'm off tomorrow.
I love you...Mom

Email to Mom - 4 Months

*I just lost a baby before I got pregnant with Colin so I was very superstitious when I was pregnant with Colin. I didn't want anything to bring me bad luck. My biggest was not wanting to buy anything for Colin early on in the pregnancy. Fortunately, I got over it. My stepmother bought some baby clothes and gave it to me when we went to Ohio to visit. It shocked me, but I didn't tell her about my superstition. But it was the best thing to happen to me. Nothing bad happened after she gave me the clothes and it showed me it was ok to go ahead and buy for the baby. I went shopping after that and it was GREAT!*

I go back to my regular OB today, Dr Robinson. I haven't been there in like a month. Marty told me yesterday that I'm starting to show (EEEK!) Saturday we actually went garage sale-ing. Christine scared me when we were there by buying those baby clothes, because I was being superstitious that maybe it would jinx everything. But it showed me that it's ok. So Saturday we bought some really nice clothes for Collin. So far everything is ok. In a couple months if everything is still ok, I might let someone go ahead with a baby shower. I'm just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO scared something is going to go wrong. If Collin dies inside of me, I'm not letting them take him out. I won't let him go. Damn, now I'm crying. I'm gonna let you go now and see how much I can clean out of my inbox.
Take care...
Love ya!

Amy..it's ok..I bought clothes before you were even born. That's a superstition you need to get over. You're in your 5th month, and you have been seeing Dr's and everyone of them tell you everything is ok...although Dr's aren't God..they do know what they are talking about. When you were pregnant for the first child..you were under alot of pressure, and yes, I'm talking about your David, and his Dad. Don't tell me otherwise cause it won't do you any good. You're alot happier now and you have nothing to worry about. You have a good man to take care of you and you have Cody..and of course..ME.. What more could you ask for..I'll call you in a little bit to find out what the Dr said. Now calm down and stop worrying so much. If you believe in the good Lord above, I believe everything will be ok...I love you all..Love Mom
